Ingredients required for making Cupcakes


To make cupcakes, first you have to collect all the ingredients required for cupcakes. Mostly, cupcakes have basic four ingredients: Sugar, Fat, Flour and Eggs. You can add other ingredients to add flavors to your cupcakes.

Eggs- Eggs are helpful in binding your cupcake mixture. They enrich your cupcakes and help to make them soft and fluffy. You can get best results when you use eggs at room temperature. You can do this by removing eggs from refrigerator about an hour before you start your baking.

Butter and other fats- You can use unsalted butter for your cupcakes that gives a rich flavor to your cupcakes. If you are making creamed cupcakes, use butter at room temperature. If your mixture is cut in, then you can use cold, firm butter while for melted mixtures, you can dice your butter before it is warmed. To make your mixture without bulks and lumps, make sure that you have softened your butter; otherwise it may get fixed at the bottom of your bowl.

Sugar- You can use different types of sugar in your cupcakes. Every type of sugar has its own taste and texture that may change your cupcake batter. If you use white sugar it adds sweetness while brown sugar gives flavor and color to your cupcakes. You can use general granulated sugar for baking your cupcakes but fine sugar gives good texture to your batter. You can use icing sugar for frostings and dusting.

Flour- You can use all purpose flour for your cupcakes.

You have to get ready with all above ingredients. Now, first you can do is, sieve flour and

baking powder and keep aside. You can add any flavor in mixture while sifting, like cocoa powder or other else. Next you can beat butter and sugar together till it gets shiny texture. Then you can start adding sifted mix into butter and keep beating until it comes to pouring consistency. If you find your mixture tight, you can add some milk and again beat it.

Now time for baking your cupcakes! You can use pancake pan or muffin pan. You can grease

your pans or line them with cupcake papers. You need to be careful while greasing your pan, because there might be extra flour stuck with butter. You have to remove that.


Then you can pour the batter into pans. You can use ice-cream scoops to make your every cupcake of same size. While filling pans, make sure that you are not filling them full.  Leave some space in the pan to allow your cupcakes rise otherwise they spill out of the pan.

After making pans ready, you can place them into oven. Don’t forget to preheat your oven. You can bake them for around 15 minutes. You can check your cupcakes if they are ready or not, with a tooth pick. Just insert the tooth pick into the cupcake and remove it out. If it comes out clean then your cupcakes are ready. Now you can remove your pan and make your cupcakes to cool for 5 minutes. And then you can remove them from pan and serve them as it is or you can decorate them with frosting.


Decorating your cupcakes


To decorate your cupcakes is most easy task. You can use any kind of frosting that matches with your cupcake’s flavor. You can use chocolate, vanilla or any other frosting. To make a frosting, you need to make a cream with butter and sugar. All you need to do is, add butter and sugar together and beat them till you get shiny, fluffy cream. Pour the cream in piping bags and decorate your cupcakes. You can also use different toppings on your cupcakes.
